Free Apartment-Finder Service in Gwinnett!

Have you ever heard of PROMOVE? If your answer to that question is “No” then you’re not alone. A lot of hYPe members have never heard of PROMOVE either. PROMOVE is Atlanta’s largest free apartment locating service. Since we’re a free service we don’t do a lot of advertising, but we are a great asset to anyone looking for an apartment.

PROMOVE will help you find an apartment in much less time then it would take you to do it on your own at no charge! The apartment communities take care of us through their advertising budget and that’s how we keep our service free.

So if you’re looking for an apartment or know someone who is, please send them our way. We’re excited about the opportunity to serve you!

Advice for Young Professionals

You did it! You have sorted through the job offers and made your final decision. Now what? Well, first relax and enjoy the rest of your University experience. While you are doing that, take a look at David Maister’s article Advice to a Young Professional. His suggestions are valuable and definitely worth a read.

Register to Vote - TODAY IS THE LAST DAY

If you haven't already heard, today is the last day to register to vote in the upcoming Presidential Election! Here are a few websites that may make it easier for you to find out how, why and where to register:

http://www.sos.ga.gov/elections/ - Secretary of State’s website, full of information from poll locators to voter registration
http://a4.thevoterguide.org/a-ajc08/index.do - Voter guide from the AJC http://www.gwinnettcounty.com - The county site has registration information along with info about what is needed to volunteer as a poll worker in the county

A special thanks to Chas White, Young Professional working as a Project Associate at the Gwinnett Chamber, for finding these links for us!

Video Opportunity

We're looking to create a hYPe Young Professionals promotional video that we can both post online at our website and use as a piece to recruit new members at job fairs, tradeshows, etc. If you know of anyone who would be interested in submitting a proposal - and would be willing to do this in-kind for exposure as a hYPe sponsor - please let us know (lsherman@gwinnettchamber.org).
